Keeping the doors open at our House and Family Rooms is a team effort – and each year we receive tremendous support and inspiration from the teams who take part in the McElhanney Cares Tournament.

The annual McElhanney Cares Tournament brings together participants of all skill levels for a fun-filled weekend of hockey, soccer, and new this year: slo-pitch. Beyond the games, attendees can take part in raffles, a silent auction, and the 50/50 draw all while giving back to the community.

This Tournament has a long history in the Okanagan construction community, started in 2007 by Dave Pritchard of TRUE Consulting and also managed by Emil Anderson Construction and Dilworth Homes.

McElhanney began participating in the tournament in 2015, and for five straight years the McElhanney hockey team received the coveted “Top Fundraising” trophy! McElhanney’s annual fundraising efforts at the tournament resulted in McElhanney Ltd. being asked to take over the management and operation of the tournament in 2020.

Over the last 11 years, this tournament has raised over $690,000 for families, and 2025 was a record-breaking year with $121,035.93 raised for family stays.
