For the past few years, this group of college buddies has set an incredible tradition: running marathons and competing to see who can run the fastest. They also wanted to make a difference to the community while pushing each other to the limits, so each year they choose a charity to support and raise funds for.

In 2025, one couple in the friend group welcomed their daughter 17 weeks early, and they needed to stay in Vancouver for a month while she received care in the NICU, far from their home in BC’s Interior.

Inspired by the programs and support that Ronald McDonald House provided during this uncertain time, the friends chose Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon as their charity of choice and raised an incredible $7,230 to provide more family stays. We can’t wait to see what this incredible group does next!
