For Annie Lynch, the Vancouver Triathlon is more than just a race — it’s personal.
“Cancer has deeply affected my family — several of my loved ones have battled it, and heartbreakingly, some have lost their lives to it. Through those difficult times, I saw firsthand how crucial support, comfort, and care are for families facing medical crises. That’s why Ronald McDonald House has always held a special place in my heart. They provide more than just a place to stay — they offer families hope and relief during their hardest moments. I’m doing this triathlon to honor my loved ones and to support Ronald McDonald House, so more families can receive the care and compassion they need when it matters most.”
In taking on the challenge of the Vancouver Triathlon, Annie is running, biking, and swimming and has already raised over $800 to support the House.

For Raymond Fung, September 1, 2025, will be a day to remember. He has signed up for his very first Olympic Distance Triathlon — a grueling 1.5 km swim, 38 km bike, and 10 km run — all in support of Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon.
Ray is the first to admit that this race may be part midlife crisis and part personal insanity, but his motivation is rooted in something far greater: supporting families with seriously ill children.
Training for his first triathlon is no small feat, but Ray is determined to earn every dollar raised with sweat, sore muscles, and perhaps a little public embarrassment along the way. His commitment reflects the spirit of the Vancouver Triathlon — athletes pushing themselves to their limits while giving families comfort and care during their hardest moments.
